Online Data Entry (pssst. there is no $12,684.99 per month data entry online job)

Everyone always wants something.

That is the case with the Internet business world in regards to anything that has the words “home” and “online” in it. I was just doing some work online and I stumbled across one of these “data entry” jobs that you can do from your own home computer in your free time and make $8,354.59 per month! Shut the front door, are you serious!

I tell you I read the entire website looking for the flaw. I was clicking all over it and I even sent the originators an email to find out more. I almost signed up because I wanted to know everything about it when it occurred to me that I already do! I knew the second I stumbled on the page. It is so very obvious these days.

Red Flag #1
When you come across a site that offers huge money for little effort, it is a scam all day long, up and down, sideways, and even diagonal. The highlighted sentences, the bold font everywhere while at the same time the whole site looks like it was made on Microsoft Word!

Red Flag #2
The site gave a list of the services offered. The kicker is that the site said it would give you a list of companies that you could choose from to do some data entry for… What? So this site is a middleman, but it is a scam anyway so it doesn’t matter. On top of that there was a little timer at the bottom of the page and it said, “If you join in the next 93.4 seconds it will only cost you $49.95!”

Hint of Truth
Think about what Googles’ website looks like. How about Careerbuilder.coms’ website? How about Yahoo.com? My point is that none of these sites look like they were created in about an hour.

All these websites that are created from some sort of already made template and all that needs to be done is words inserted here and there is probably not a website you want to buy anything from. Unless of course you know it is a scam and all you want to do is see how they are scamming people.

If you are itching your leg in anxious ambition to get your credit card number filled in before time runs out, you may as well send that number to me so that I can some something good with it instead of you wasting money on a hopeless daydream.

Yes it is a very wonderful daydream to think that we all could just sit at home and make piles of money. It is great to think that every once in a while you can get up off the couch, use the bathroom, scratch your dogs back and oh yeah…. Do a little data entry to pay all your bills in an hour and then go back to the couch. What a wonderful thought uh?

If there were a data entry type home based business that you really could make $9,382.38 per month don’t you think it would have already been on the news, every newspaper in the world, posted on buses everywhere, and on a sticky note on the back of your hand? Something that easy and lucrative would be the largest business in the world with ease.

What started me on the tangent specifically about this type of online hoax is that when I went to search for the internet guru squad had to say about it, I found a great blog that a very nice individual had written about why these data entry positions are scams. I was happy that the guy gave some good pointers and great information on these scams.

When I got towards the end of what he was saying, he started talking about how he was actually a “full-time” data entry guy! I was a tad confused to say the least. He said it is a hard thing to figure out, but once you do it is profitable! I was scratching my head thinking, “What in the…. This guy just did a full circle from the beginning of his blog. First he is saying how it is a huge scam, now he is saying how he is a full-time scammer?”

So I read on to the end through where he talks about his wonderful worry free life and how his wife can do whatever she wants to now and how his dog has a personal driver now and his kids have their own caddies. In closing to his blog, he states “it takes a bit to get to the point of making a full-time income, but if you take his advice you will be well on your way to making a full-time income from home. Just click on the link and soon enough you have everything you need to make it happen!”

What occurred to me at this point was that this whole blog was nothing more than a glorified advertisement! It was a semi-well put together ad that enticed the reader to start to trust the author and once the author gave some good information and helpful tips he turned into the salesmen and sold the person. What did he sell them?

He sold them hope! That is right… He took everything away from the idea that anyone could make money from fake data entry jobs and then gave them a glimmer of hope in the form of him being a full-time data entry guy but it was a little tricky to do.

Therefore the reader now trusts the guy and wants to figure out how to find the real deal! So what does the author do? He sure doesn’t do data entry I can tell you that, but he won’t tell you that. He is making his money on your frantic capacity to click around for hours looking for the way he is making a full-time income online. That is right, he is simply making money on advertising scams and here is how.

At the bottom of his blog/advertisement he has a link so you can “learn more”. This isn’t in all honesty a lie. You will learn a hell of a lot about every scam out there is you click enough and read enough. But what he has done is given you a link to a website that he is hosting that has many different advertisements on it so no matter how you exit that website, unless you just close your browser or type in some website, he will get credit for you going to some website.

That means that when you click on one of those advertisements on his page that he gave to you in his blog/advertisement he is in essence sending someone a lead, or a prospective sale. It is silly to think about but it is a simple thing. This is how many online people make a lot of money.

They will take a niche like the “Get Rich Quick” area and just make some little sales pitch in a way that people want more and then direct them to another page that has a bunch of advertisements that they/ you will more than likely click on.

The great lesson here is that you can create a web page or blog that has advertisements on it that are directed towards whatever you are talking about on your page. It is a great way to help other people find more relevant information and help you pay for advertising.
