Amway Guy

Here is part of an email from a great guy in my organization. I thought this was worth sharing with everyone.


You may have heard of Bill Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway. Some years ago, 20/20 did a feature story on Amway. They spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers - several distributors who had failed and showed the garages full of products they couldn't sell. During the last minute of the show, Mr. Britt was interviewed in front of his palatial home. He was asked, "Mr. Britt, this business has obviously worked for you. What's your secret? He replied, "There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, 'No'. and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire!

Commit To The Business

When I was a kid I would spend most of my days at a ski resort snowboarding for hours. Having only been in the sport a short time I was having a hard time learning a few new tricks that I really wanted to do. One of the older boys who was really an amazing snowboarder was riding up the chairlift one day with me. We started talking about doing tricks and he shared something with me that applies to business and many paths in life.

He said to me "If you really want to do the trick, all you have to do is commit to the entire move. I've been watching you and you almost have it, but you are not committing to the entire trick. Commit to it and you will have it down in no time"

Well, I worked on that trick and before I new it I was great at it. Before I had only been giving the trick a half effort instead of really just going for it and visualizing the end result. Now I was able to do the entire trick with ease because of the full commitment that I gave it.

How many more people would be successful in online business if a full effort was given to it? It is as clear as night and day. It has more to do with actually making the right moves to become successful than it does to join a home based business, get on the conference calls and go through the motions. That is just the tip of the ice berg. What would happen if you spent fifteen or more hours per week on your business? How much more income would come it? Would it be enough to fire your boss? What would happen if you outsourced all the facets of your business that you can so that you can focus on the people in your organization and what you can do to help them? People are the biggest asset in business online and especially in home based business. People are the driving force. So how do you become successful in home based business if you are not caring for the people in your organization?

Committing to a plan is the best step in the right direction to make. TraVerus Travel
has started describing the idea of what people should be shooting for in their business endeavors as far as a long/short term plan is concerned. Three to five years of solid effort and focus is capable of bringing in a type of income that no one can shrug their shoulders to. This plan is designed to create a residual income that keeps coming in without the constant routine of recruiting and so forth. When you are at that level you will spend your time helping others get to your level.

It is the commitment to an idea like this that will truly make a person successful in their business endeavors. Home based business is no joke, it is the real deal. People take for granted the fact that you can do it in your slippers and robe. While you are sleeping in and getting lazy, the smart home based business professionals are making money from home hand over fist because they are running their business as if it were on main street in your town. They have streamlined their routine and are making it happen for their business. They have committed to their profession.

The idea is this: Commit to your goals and they will come true. Do not let thoughts enter your mind that have anything to do with failure or quitting before your goal is achieved as long as your goals are legitimate.
